For labor day I went out to NY. I was gone for 5 days.  In those 5 days my friends car (which is parked in my complex in CA but he is back in PA) manages to be towed from its spot.  So I get home and realize that his car was towed. I call the towing company, they proceed to give me the location of the car and the price (lake forest and $280).  I take off work early yesterday to go pick it up. I run home to catch a ride up to the tow yard which is located 30 min north of my house.  I get there at 4:50, they close at 5 and everyday it sits in the yard is an extra $35.  The guy in the yard asks me what car i am here to pick up, i tell him.  He looks at me for a second and then tells me that the car isnt in this lot but rather down in the Dana Point Lot.  MMM, thats funny I live in Dana Point and that lot is literally a mile from my house.  Well that sucks, worse then us.  I call the tow services main office for the number to the Dana Point Lot - no phone number? Why would they have a phone number??  SO I have no way to get a hold of them.  I then call my roomate and ask him to go down to the lot.  He arrives at 5:50 and the lot is closed, no one is there.  Really?  Im gonna be charged an extra $35 because someone decided to leave early.  F no.  My roomate calls the main office and they send someone down to the lot.  When he gets there he tells me I need a conformation because Im not the owner.  The owner needs to fax over a letter of authorization, with his license and it has to be notarized. With this new knowledge I leave the lot knowing I couldnt pick the car up.

I have my friend fax over all the crap the next morning (this morning) and I go back to the lot to pick up the car.  The guys ringing up the bill and he looks over and says "ehhhh,,,,  you know this is $420.  I was like WTF???  the lady on the phone told me $280, so not only did she give me the wrong directions but she gave me the wrong price!  Needless to say I was pi-ssed.

How can one person be so wrong so many times in 2 sentences.

Sorry just needeed to get that out.

Not to be too overly harsh, but maybe there's a reason that lady you called is working where she is...
