So ya, my motor has a ton of mileage and lookin into a new one, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what kind of motor to look into for my '94 VW GTI (Golf). I have my own ideas, just curious what everyone else thinks.  

I know the obvious swap is the 2.8L VR6 motor, but I wanna know if anyone else has any other ideas  

well i would say the VR6 would be what i would do, but the 1.8T isnt bad either. it's very workable too. the later ones made quite a bit of power, but even the olders ones woudlnt be too bad, could always get some more out of an easy turbo upgrade...
