sad as it is to say, the japanese auto industry is becoming crap!! ik somoene's probably already posted something about this but i gotta say it. Heres my rant startting off with honda.
     WTH their sacrificing almost everything for those POS accords, no more type r's??? no more NSX until 2011 (and even that's still a dream)??? the civic is now  dummed down because college students who fear paying for gas and now its losing its practicality and affordability. the s2000 is there but not rlly, its become rare because the few that honda makes are being bought by rich old doctors about to retire. All these cars we loved are being pushed back to the rear by the accord, a plain boring gas sipping car. ITS UNFAIR!!!!!
       Toyota.....everone misses the celica and the mr2's already and im rlly sick of the hybrids. EVery time i see a prius i want to drive one into the wall. And those damm box on wheel Xb's too!!! and WHYYYY are they planning on making a "!!!HYBRID!!!" SUPRA????? Seriously!!! THESE 2 companies should really quit worrying sooo much about their car's gas mileage. its an obsession for those 2 companies now!!
  Nissan at least still have their great performance, they still have the g35, the 350z and that new altima coupe looks nice, (plus the skyline GT-R is back). But WHY did they make the sentra look like the prius???
   Mazda's still ok. Mitsubishi messed up with the 4th gen eclipse but the new EVO X and Lancer make up for it.
   Finally SUBARU. ANYone seen the new WRX, dont need to say much about that!!!!!

I must agree with you but you have to remember that the only thing the car companies are looking at are profits.  They will build cars that will sell alot.  As much as you and I would much rather purchace somthing hella powerful and fast with horrible gas mielage, there are thoudands of others out there who want to purchase the typical grocery getter and soccer mom vehicles.

I hate that fact as much as you do but there isn't much we can do about it.  It sucks!!
