i was watching an in depth undercover research story that dateline nbc did on ID thieves. Its amazing how easily some one can royally eff up some one else's life. Its never happened to me, but man that must suck to have your identity stolen  

it was nuts- dateline set up fake credit cards- and sold "fake" identities online in these chat rooms where the ID thieves talk- one of them bought and maxed out the credit cards in a matter of minutes! they even timed it with a stop watch
