I think they should auction off usable parts and give the money to charity. Although that would continue the cycle, because tuners would buy the parts. I don't understand how someone could steal engines or a transmission, can someone tell me how they would do that?

I fully agree that they should confiscate the cars from street racers but as Tydog07 stated, I think they should sell the cars or part them out and give the money to charities. It's a total waste and misuse of money. Q.

Thats a good idea, I don't know if I agree with your car being confiscated though, maybe? I'm on the fence right now.

The thing is that they already know that if they street ract their cars can be taken. Common sense tells you that if you don't want your car taken, don't street race. If they do and they get caught, too bad. They knew the risks and accepted them. They lose the right to cry and complain.
I have people reving on me all the time trying to get me to race them even though I have 2 huge R.A.S.R. (Racers Agaisnt Street Racing) stickers on my side windows. I'd be more than happy to race them at the track.
The thing I've noticed is that 98% of them look as if they just got their 1st car. They are either still in or just out of highschool and they have no idea what I've done to my car. Idiots!!!!! Maybe I'm just too old. LOL!

I thought a lot about this today. And I think that in most cases it is justified that peoples cars are taken. I have seen some dumb things done by street racers who but a lot of other innocent bi standards at risk. But lets say its 2 in the morning and there is no one on the road and you see a car and you want to do a quick 70-100 run. I don't think that scenario justifies a car impounding.

I think there are def some situations where impounding your car is a little extreme.

Uh, dude? Old thread. You know? Look at the last post before yours. I agree with you but I don't think that any one else but you and I are writing here. I just wanted to help.
How you drive is your buisness. Remember that you're not the only one on the road!
