there is nothing wrong with a v8, take the fastest japanese import and pair it up agianst a, lets say shelby cobra repoduction with a 427 chevy v8 running twin turbos, its putting down about 1000-1200hp and can still turn and race on road courses. with that car its not about drivability or gas milage its just raw power and i bet you would not win. after i finsih my hodna i'm going to build one of those. mayeb not with 1200hp but it will have a 427 with twin turbos on it. i would say a nice 700hp figure suits me just fine. and remember i'm a import lover but to some of the cars you have got to give it up.

well, to start, i almost agree with you. street racing is stupid, if you want the real adrenaline rush, with real racing experience go to the tracks, usually its about $10 for all nighter.
I was a ricer my self with my miata (for sale in classified) untill i realised how stupid i was (everything i learned about cars was only in the past 2 years if not less). i used to street race all the time, had under body led kit, big ass spoiler,...etc. i took all of those off and built a custom turbo but ended up selling that for a nice deal and bought the Supra. now I huilt the engine my self with HKS Stopper MHG, ARP Studs, new toyota parts like seals,...etc. and now the car is ready for the big turbo i am slapping on it to make some real power (450-500RWHP). lots of V6 mustangs, Civics, Accords,...etc try to race me, I raced a mustang once just becuase he pissed me off, the speed limit was 70 mph, when i reached 75 mph i looked in my mirror and he is waaayyy far behind me (at least 10 cars lenght) so i pressed on my break so he can see that i did, and then we stopped at a gas station and he was like i beat you i beat you, i didnt argue back becuase obviously he was stupid, so i just said, did you enjoy looking at my tail lights?

now if another guy wants to race i just say is your car the SPS edition (quoted from a guy on supra forums), and all the guys ask what is the sps edition? my answer is simply this

now i say this from a very short but nice experience, if you think street racing gives you adrenaline rush, try the tracks, the waiting for the green light on the christmas tree will appear to you like hours and your adrenaline will be rushin, your blood boiling, and your heart cursing at you for puting it under all this stress. lol.

there are two kinds of people, tuners and ricers? which one you want to be? the car that looks sometimes nice but slow as hell or build the ultimate sleeper car? no body kits that are useless, big ass wings, fart cans, under body lights, ...etc. sell all of those and build your self a real worthy engine and then earn your respect by kicking ass on the tracks not by showing off on the streets.

their are 2 things. Ricers are normaly broke, if i had the money for a 40 thousand dollar car sure i would go out and get a supra. they are awsome cars with MILLIONS of diffrent but equaly cool possobilitys, but im not rich so i bought a 96 eclipse. now its not the fastest thing in the world. but with some work it can look real nice and have some performance to back up the looks. spoilers if chosen in GOOD taste. say one that adds to the overal look and gives it a stream lined look is well chosen, unlike those lets see if i can hit the phone lines with my spoiler choices. True tuners normaly have some source of income then most people, or rich parents that let them blow lots of money on [censored] they nither understand or care about. but this is to ask what are some good yet cost effective ENGINE mods to do to a eclipse. since you all know so much more than any one else because you can talk [censored] on a message board. btw a boss 302 kicks ass. thats right.
