i noticed quite a few integra ls/gs's with type-r goodies swapped in. one component ive seen is pistons. i was wondering, are they that much stronger or would i feel that much of a difference? or is it better just to go with like JE, wiseco, eagle, etc.? im not gonna be looking at anything too crazy, just intake, mani., header, full exhuast, cams, and cam-related ish. also with a B16 transmission, possible type-r L.S.D., and, after pistons in question/other internals, a very small shot of nitrous for the track (oh yeah and of course Hondata S200). thanks for the input guys!

If you are just throwing some bolt on stuff r u sure you want to swap out the pistons? I would think that if you are going ot be running a small shot of nitrous, maybe you want to keep the lower compression pistons in.

think it'd be ok? i want to build this strong, thought it'd be a good idea to freshen up the internals before going to nitrous, no matter the shot to be safe. of course, since it wouldnt be a big shot at all, think it'd be kind of a waste? i just dont wanna get stuck with a major problem. but that could happen anyway...
was supposed to get surgery this month, its been pushed back 5-6 months, so im gonna try to move on an integra ls/gs soon. (know ive asked on many cars, mostly were just steals i came across, some fraudulent some i was too slow on, im set though on this). thanks man.

Beefing up the engine is never a bad idea. A small shot of nitrous can be fun and beneficial. With those basic bolt on's and a good tune with the s200 you should be ok without getting in to your internals... But then again nothing is definite.

alright thanks for the input. ill do what i want to it first, and if internals are in the budget at the time, maybe. but im not as concerned about them.
i know a problem could still happen haha, dont worry im not gonna blame ya if something does happen, i just wasnt too sure how much it could take stock i guess. but it isnt anything too ridiculous.

oh a little update-- doing some research on this engine, i found out something big. i was throwing around the idea of going with a stroker kit. after reading 5 pages or so, stroking is not the way to increase displacement in these engines (the B18B). it has to do with a short-as-stock rod length, and stroking makes it even shorter which leads to lower revving. also you gotta mess with oil squirters and such, decreasing lubrication. however, you can safely bore it out pushing displacement to 2.0L (need to sleeve it of course).
thought you guys might find this interesting...

i run .25 over ITR pistons in my k20a2 from a k20a on my quest for n/a nirvana .. i decided on them because i can trust honda.. and they were allready coated from the factory.. i did pair them on eagle rods tho .. the stock caps were a little weaker than i liked. we also have a turbo b18c1 and its sleaved to 2.0 and a little change.. running manley rods and cp pistons..
but if your playing with a ls motor do the ls/vtec and rock it out man .. if i wasnt sellin my ls ide be doin that ... now to find an accord wagon .. im gona need a daily here soon.
Im Asian, I drive a N/A RSX*S, Im not good at math...(I know Im Asian I dont get it), but I know its costing me a lot of money.
