hi i was wondering if there is anything i can do to bring down the exhaust noise of my car, i got after market tips and every time a cop looks my way they see a 100 dollar ticket    on wheels. i want to know if i try to put an extra resonator if that would bring down the noise? if not what to you guys recommend.

put the stock back. or get a new exhaust thats built for low decibel noise  

if all you have is an exhaust tip, and you think it is drawing extra attention from the cops (after they here the exhaust) - take them off.. Other than the tips (meaning the small pipe that comes out of the muffler) your exhaust is stock?  

if your exhaust is that loud you might want to think about getting some engine tuning, or looking for a new exhaust set up. Tanabe makes their exhausts to be under 93dB. So if you're looking to keep noise to a minimum then check them out.

It might depend on the make and year. some cars are just louder than others. Otherwise, go back to stock.
