well would you really want a twin turbo rx-7 to just drive around as an everyday driver car?

Are you looking to get a right or left hand drive RX-7? Pending on those choices it will determine the price you pay for the car. If you choice right hand drive, you can get one in Canada. If you can find one at a good price, Motor-Rex can get some very nice stock right hand 7’s.You can find a left hand drive RX-7 in the U.S for twenty plus.

With all due respect.  Know what you're getting yourself into.  I owned an FB (first gen. 79-85) for two years before jumping into an FD (third gen 93-95 US).  As of right now, you have ~13.5K US, that will get you a stock FD or slighlty modified.  I would steer clear of buying a modded FD in which case you're buying someone else's problems.  Start stock, hell, start out with an S5 TII rx-7 (meaning series 5 Turbo II)  That will get you into the turbo rotary thing.  Judging from your name, you're coming from a N/A nissan, so lot's of bottom..lagging on the top end and going to a FD, no bottom end..plenty of midrange.  That's a whole new monster man.  Oh snizzap!  Daily driver rx-7?  Yes, it can be done...but make sure you can afford the up keep on a daily driven 7, that's money right there.  I bought one and drove it daily for a few months...that didn't last long...now i'm packing up grocies in a 98 intreped (hey i got it for 1500 bucks).  But hey, the 7 makes it out on the weekends! Also, a very good site for 7 scoping is Rx7club.com  The BIGGEST rotary forum, bring a flame suit.

I here ya on the 93 and up. But, look at the originals. Those have one of the most prime tuner looks in history. Also, look at the 88' Rx-7. Its got a 1.8L Rotary. Them motors were great and that model came with the rag top. Contact me. I know where there is a great one at.

I have a great car. Right now, its a piece. NOt the motor, its got a 150,xxx. I got a Mazda Mx-6 2.5L DOHC. I just bought it. 500 bucks. It need an ecu. Thats the reason i got it real cheap. The guy couldnt find one. I found one. So i bought it. Slapped 18inch Enkei Racing rims. Its all there though. I got a turbo kit on the way and a buddy body kit. cold air. At 8lbs. it should push about 253bhp.

I can show you two Rx-7s and a supra.

I agree man. I just bought a stock Mx-6 M-Edition. The 88' Rx-7 though, kind sir, is a great car. You can find them cheap, with the 1.8 rotary and do okay. As a daily driver, it would not be as expensive as you think. I would like to here your input on what my Mx-7 should see next. I gotta T7 on the way.

Old thread, but what the heck...  I like the way a rotary sounds when it winds up. Nothing like it. CHeck out a site called rotaryvspiston.com... or some thing like that. Any way, the site has all the rotary action on a strip that a rotary head would ABSOLUTELY love. For me... it's goooood! LOL!

Before I forget, most of the pics and vids are from Puerto Rico or from races that were done here in the States, like Atco and the like. Enjoy.

I wish I had good news on some progress. The economy isn't making things easy, bro. The Rav4 just hit 200,000 miles today, so it will be a matter of time before it starts asking for a build. That 3SGTE is calling to me. The 200sx is still sitting in my garage... waiting... At least I can buy what I need, when I can afford it, at the Nissan dealership that will be across from my new job. That wretched economy needs to improve before I can do any thing interesting to my S12. It's a waiting game, bro. Sorry.
