k, so me and my buddy were arguing one night, my opinion was that when u take a japanese sports car, say an RX-7, skyline or maybe and EVO, or even like a honda, and put myabe like 50 or 60 grand into it, mostly engine and make it blisteringly fast, will it be considered a supercar or , would it still be a sports car? also, the thing i like to think about with people and their big, expensive ferraris and what not, is that, importers and tuners, can blow the doors off of them while they paid 200,000 for their car, while the tuner payed 30, 000 into their car and it whipes the Italian supercar, right out. just a thought.

Lots of the money should be spent on suspension and also an EVO does not need lots of money to conquer car far above it on a track.

Nor does a Spec-C STi, which is arguably the best car dollar-for-dollar at any price range...the fact that it does it so well with a 2.0 liter is even better.  My goal is to convert my WRX to a Spec-C in regards to power, weight, handling.  The only thing that won't be changing is the transmission, I have way too much into mine to think of doing a 6 spd swap.

those arent even supercars buddy NSX would more closely be considered in that class. Maybe try the Tommy Kaira ZZ that is a japanese supercar. These are just sports cars by the way. The reason why people with money buy Ferraris is because 1. They have extremly high quality 2. Performance and3. Its a Ferrari. And dont tell me u wouldnt want a Ferrari buddy. A lot of the cars that you are thinking of that have the potential of beating ferraris have a lot more money in them then 30k look at the Evo 8 from England in one of the recent issues that has 800 hp but it caust a whopping 250k to complete. Im not trying to rain on your parade but u got to get your facts straight.

I am going to have to say that a Ferrari is not my cup of tea. To maintain one is way over priced and handling isnt there, as comparied to other cars in that realm of Dollars.
Porche makes a far better car and will beat most ferraris, then again if you want something fast Veyron anyone. buy look at the price. I think that if you want something that shows who you are, buy a car and spend that same money that you would on a ferrari and make it your own super car. its like gucci your paying for the name. And the NSX sucks. over priced and way to lil HP.

Ferrari redesigned their cars when Honda put out the very first NSX.  Why is that I wonder?

i think everyone needs to look at what defines a car as a super car.  power, handling at low speeds and at very high and easily available speeds, ass potential, repeatable real world times and dynos, and if the car is tunes to the max or can you squeeze more power out of it.  sure an evo can out run a stock italian car, but add the availble power factor in and the evo doesnt stand a chance.  wasnt there an article with an evo vs porche.  the evo was tuned and running way better tires, yet it still has slower times than the stock off the shelf porche.  this defines a super car.

Good subject!! people dont need 200,000 to haul ass they just spend 30-40 thousand on an import!!! plus they are even faster than these rich *** that have italian supercars.

They should add damage to the first one though.  Yeah but taking info from it as true is dumb.  Just like corn is dumb.  *** kernels get stuck in your teeth...
