seriously tho, my dream car is the turbo pt cruiser. in versuvian orange?
You like the SRT4 station wagon, huh? Not a fan, but not a fan of the SRT4 either. Mostly not a fan of Neons (used to own one, will never ever ever buy another dodge again)
Hmmm, really? Thats a shame. All of the Neons and Chrysler vehicles I've driven/owned haev been great vehicles. You must have gotten some beatup shitboxes. Oh well.
Nope, the neon I bought had 1.3 miles on it when I took possession. By the time it had 36k miles on it I had the following replaced:
ECU (2) O2 Sensors (4) Catalytic Converter (1) Crank Sensor (2) Engine (3.....yes 3) Tranny (2) Paint (1....started flaking/peeling right away) and just about every other sensor that you can think of as well. By far the worst car I've owned. I traded it on an S10 Extended cab 4x4 that I still have to this day.
I have a few classic Mopars that I like but you couldn't convince me to buy another neon if my life depended on it.

Really? You didn't say what year the Neon was, or what milage was on the vehicle when you bought it. I doubt it was a BRAND NEW car off the lot. You can't blame one particular make or model of car just because the one you got was a lemon. Ive seen all kinds of people buy a used car and shortly after most everything falls apart. And guess what? Some of them were JAPANESE! Regardless, I'm not a Dodge spokesperson or anything, I just think it's dumb to lump an entire model as garbage just because you got a crappy one. There are plenty of people who love their Neons, and take care of them so they don't fall apart, like all cars do when neglected.

Mabey 1.3 miles HE PUT ON it, mabey? Like, 1.3 miles on top of the 167,000 that were already on it? I refuse to believe that he bought a brand new car off the lot with 1.3 miles and all that stuff on the list broke. Thats *** It would have been under warrantee anyway, he wouldn't had to pay for any of it.

The car had a TOTAL of 1.3 miles on it on Feb 10, 1996. I ordered it from the dealer, they drove it off the truck, into the prep-bay, and then to the parking lot before I took possession. Yes, it was all under warranty, but that is still horrible. At the time I was doing autostarts for the dealer I bought it from (subcontracted) and I would see between 2-5 neons a week come in with symptoms of what I was experiencing, often the same cars over and over and over again. Talked to the service manager and he confirmed that they were the most troublesome car they had worked on in a number of years. 2 of my buddy's had Neons as well that had the tranny case break just by driving though a snow drift (tranny case cracked and the fluid drained out) I tried my best to get out of the vehicle by using the lemon laws, but as it turns out you need to have the same problem 3 times in ND before it is considered a lemon....I had multiple different problems different times. Other problems I've seen with chrysler products almost always come back to being transmission issues. Both my uncle and ex-brother-in-law replaced their tranny's on their dakotas every 2-3 years until they got rid of them. I've seen Intrepids with tranny issues as well. This isn't based on one issue with one car, this is multiple issues with multiple cars....all bought new with huge problems. Chrysler will need to make something extremely spectacular before I would consider them again.

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again...TVR Cerbera Speed 12.
Of course, I dont have 270K to throw around, and they dont make em anymore, but I'll be just as happy with a 350Z. That modded blue Z from Freederick Nissan (November 05, pg 88) is pretty much perfect.
