i am thinking about saving up an buying one of these cars an i was wondering witch is better
gas
speed
reliablity
an witch car has more parts made for it

Get the RSX. It's better in all of those categories except gas mileage, I think.

Your telling me that you think an RSX has an advantage over a turbocharged 1g or 2g DSM? Negative sir. The only thing the RSX has on those is reliability, becuause a new car is always more reliable than a used car.
The gas economy between a 2g Talon TSi or Eclipse GSX versus that of a new RSX is very close, though the DSMs are turbocharged.
Speed and potential for going fast, don't get me started. An N/A Honda engine versus one of the best engineered four cylinders in the world, tried and true, proven to go make more than 1000hp on the stock block and crank (4G63T 6bolt), clearly there is only one winner. Granted, the K series are great engines, but you will have to put way more money into those to go fast, versus the DSMs. Stock versus stock, although, performance between the two is strikingly similar. Nothing that an exahust and a boost controller on the Eclipse won't fix though.
Parts aftermarket is growing more and more for the K series, but it dosn't have half of that of the 4G63 engine. Not to mention parts seem to be cheaper in cost for the Mitsu engine, and yeild better performance numbers, but thats typical of most any turbocharged application.

I didn't really read your whole post but whatever. I got the general idea of things. He didn't specify on the Eclipse so it could have been anything, silly. But most of what you said was right, so my bad. Still though go with the RSX.

It depends what he wants really. Pretty much everything there is equal to some degree. It depends whether or not he wants a more "show" oriented car (RSX) or a more "race" oriented car(Eclipse).
