Miata w/ S2K swap?? Thats a hefty amount of work but if done right should push 240 ez w/o aftermarket parts. With a little tweaking you could get 300 NA w/o going completly broke and at that hp 2 wieght ratio I'd love to see it race a big steel muscle car any day.

wtf do u mean bs any power level is possible w/ a well bulit v-8

WOW guys i signed up just cause this thread is soooo funny. First your combo as stated will not produce the power you hope for. The cam in my car is 224/224 580/.585 lift on a 114 degree LSA (not a radical setup at all). I am running similar compression. I dont care if you drive to area 51 and have the aliens make your heads you just plain cannot flow that much air N/A with that cam. Its just not that big. And to be in the 6s you would need a lot more than 950hp lol. There is so much more but I just thought that the part where you give your motor specs was especially funny.

This whole [censored] forum is funny. And when I mean "funny", I really mean gay. Lots of 12 year old kids that like to jerkoff to Skylines and Civics, and don't know what the [censored] the internals of an engine look like.

I just come by here for a good laugh though.

LOL yea Im begining to see that I need a good laugh so I might start visiting here more often. I especially love it when they go to car domain and get someones motor specs and copy and paste them. If your car is slow dont lie and say its this ground pounding hell raising machine just work to make it fast. If your into imports and thats what you know more power to you. I know fbodys specifically the LT1 and LS1 so thats what I work on. This whole domestic vs. import thing just makes me laugh. Anyone who works on cars know anything can be fast if you throw enough money at it. I dont think your any cooler when you spit off a list of parts you have no clue what they do or even what they are.

Agreed. I'm a former F body and Corvette owner myself, and I also dig the GenII and Gen III small blocks. I see you have a Z28.... LT1? Mods?

Nothing too crazy its a daily driver and I mean rain snow whatever its doing outside the car goes with me.
LS1 Lid,cam, gears, stall converter, long tubes, no cats, egr, air injection,or air conditioning, and a custom tune with hptuners software. just got my street tune done a few weeks ago and got the base fuel trims set pretty good after the holidays it will go on the dyno and a wideband to really see what the A/F is doing.
You got any thing done to the DSMs

ok first of all why the hell is anyone talking about 0-60 times?  they dont mean squat and theres no real world way to measure them anyway.

second, 500hp is nothing to scoff at from any engine.  that is alot of power no matter what.  try driving a watercooled 911 turbo s.  sweet jesus.

third, on the 950hp 302 i'm gonna pull out the 'ol here.  nobody would use a 302 to build an extremely high hp machine

0-60 times predicts how good your 60ft launch can be...

yes finaly somebody that agrees with me about my setup, but actually I am already at 387 hp and am hoping to reach 500 hp you see my car weighs nothing but half ton because I have taken all of the heavy alumminum off and replaced it with titanium, and the s2000 already comes stock at 243hp!
And no the hardest thing I had to do is make a custom drive shaft extention because its about 5 1/2 inches short of the rear dif, plus the s2000 drive shaft is 6bolt and the miata is 4bolt. Oh and I had to make some custom engine mounts, but all that is just measureing and welding. So I'm going from 110 hp stock miata to 387 hp s2000! Now if you think my setup iss not good then you dont know anything about cars or if your a stupid v8 pile lover then you can stick it where the sun dont shine!
