Most people here are pulling for the K motor. Which version of the K-series would be easiest to get parts for? I'm currently looking for a Civic any tips on which K i should get for a street car?

One more thing, Mustangs 4ever..... If you are a fish, stay in the water..... If you have no Idea what the topic at hand is about, then save the forum space, and don't waste a post. Go to www.horsepowerfreaks.com they have forums for you and your mustang....

Go to their pictures page of their website.  They are the biggest bull$hitters.  Their info does not even make sense.

K series motor as aboved stated is new and has more technology in it, The B series is out dated but, Dollar for dollar the B series is a better choice. I have to say the H22 is still my favorite. Its the best of both new enough to have Tech and old enough to be cheaper.

The K series is the superior engine. They are more expensive, but stronger and make more power.

As far as your thoughts of the "better driver" in the underpowered car, no matter what, two cars with the same weight, the one with more power is going to win as long as both of them can push the gas pedal and shift. A good driver won't make a 90hp car beat another car of the same chassis with 300.

Haha, acutally buddy, ur wrong, considering that my frreind has a fricken 90' civic with 137 horse, and he has a girlfrend that has a subura, wiht some pretty good power and he beat her in a drag race, but he said if he woulda been drivin her car, he would beat his civic no prob. so ya driving does ahve a lot to do with it dip$h-t!   u think some person that shifts a t 3000 rpm compared to someone that shifts at there perfect shiftpoint is gonna win? i doubt it

Was his gf asleep behind the wheel?

I don't know why but I'm loyal to the B-series, plus they can better take the buttpounding which is boost, which pretty much makes my car.  I might build a K-series engine in a while if I get lucky on the street a few times.

I have seen a lot of stock, and I emphasizes stock, b series engines handle a good amount of boost, but pound for pound the k series makes more power and is *** if not more, reliable under boost.  of course its all about a good tune, but I have been running 12 psi on a completely stock k20a2 engine for 50,000 miles, no problems, at all.

I would buy the b series and take the left over money to beat the k series. K series is a better motor overall but there is nothing wrong with the B series. I would go with the B series do to cheaper parts and overall prices.

There is a Honda Fit in the new super street magazine running a K20 series motor with basic bolt ons putting out 253 hp to the wheels. It looks pretty good. I think the K series is doing okay.

a great driver DOES have alot to do with a race you flippin moron.  why dont you go back to page 1 and read my example.  i said that since the majority of drivers out there, and i am using that term in the sense of drivers of an enthusiast world (re: not your friend and his poosay-foot mall shopping girlfriend for christs sake), have similar skills, the drivers card really does not apply to a general situation (since... most have comparable skills).  and then YOU gave an extreme example of some friend of yours racing his girlfriend.  i could race my wife, switch cars, and beat her both times as well.  doesnt mean a thing.

that is what is called a "comparison of absolutes" and does not apply.

well sorry, i suppose it was "comparison of absolutes" if u will, but im just saying, that u have to have.... o i cant even remember wat we're arguing abOUT. O and dont u think this is kind of a slight "COMPARISON OF ABSOLUTES?" "A good driver won't make a 90hp car beat another car of the same chassis with 300. but newasy im done arguing about it, this forum is about a b series vs. k series. so point is, the drivers do have to do with who wins a race, but w/e. sorry, if i offended u.
