Oh, I agree, but I was just trying to clear any possible misconceptions and any assumptions based on age. For all we know, this kid could have grown up driving carts/shifter cars and be a better driver at 15 than I am at 31

1. Type R badging on a 86-99 Civic. When did honda start making Type R civics? again not true 2. Now here's one I see alot, Type R badging on a 1st and 2nd Generation Acura Integra. Ha who are they fooling, I thought that the 3rd generation Integra from 98-01 was produced in limited numbers in Type R Trim. 3. V-Tec badging on a 85-89 Accord. This one is really bogus because, V-Tec wasn't even invented yet. Correct me if I'm wrong.
1. The Civic Type-R was introduced in Japan in 1997. 2. The Acura Integra Type-R was introduced in 1995 in Japan. 2 years later in the 1997 Model Year the United States saw it's first Integra Type-R. 3. VTEC was first introduced in Japan in 1989.

Wrong again. Honda made 'Type-R' models of the Civic, Accord, and NSX as well.

Do it. I don't get bent out of shape over dumb stuff like that. I certainly won't lobby on a forum page.

yes i'll agree its retarded, kinda like people that bought the srt design neon that is really a sxt, but the dumbasses try and race it like its a real srt-4...SAD. at least the type r badge is better than those *** with gtr badges on their cars. HELLO, YOUR CAR IS NOT A SKYLINE (unless you are one of the lucky few that actually has a real skyline)!
i agree, i thought it was bad with the kids who stick them on maxima's and other nissan's..., the other night, though, i saw a gtr badge on a SUNFIRE...how sad is that...atleast the integra boys are maintaining some standard of correctness

The only authorized importer of Skylines is/was Motorex, but now with the owner of Motorex in jail (for not modding the cars properly/at all..and ripping people off) you can only legally import the later year R33's (they have dual airbags....I forget the exact years). There are companies that bring them into Florida semi-legally. By that I mean they bring the Chassis and Engine seperately and then reinstall them once on our shores. This classifies the car as a "Kit Car". Good luck insuring one of those for what they are really worth and even better luck actually getting an insurance company to make good on a claim on one of them. If you don't live in Florida, good luck getting them licensed in your state....DOT may require a lot of proof that it meets federal regulations and standards. Trust me, i've looked.
