Over the last few weeks I have been hearing vtec compared to boost or nitrous. Like it straight up throws you in your seat. I thought that vtec gave you 10-15 hp at best. So I went a Googled a turbo graph of a 300zx and a B18c1. Here they are. I think that you guys see which one puts out more power or you can see at least that the increase in vtec is nothing compared to that of a turbocharger.

I have a Honda and I think nothing is to be compared to Vtec it is its own thing. Just like turbos and nitrous are. They are two different things and shouldn't be compared. Those people that do think that Vtec is like turbo or "better" those people are retarded. Vtec does not throw you in your seat. With Vtec I just feel more of a pull then when in not vtec. It should be more like supercharged vs. turbocharged or something. oh and nitrous is stupid.

You can't compare VTEC to a supercharger or turbocharger, because those are a power adder. VTEC is not a power adder.
What makes nitrous so stupid? It's the same principle as a supercharger or turbocharger, adding more molecules of oxygen into the combustion chamber. It's cheap, easy to install also.

nitrous has its benefits, but in reality its only good for the drag strip. you cant exactly drive around all day long with your bottle open.

True, you can't drive around all day long with your bottle open, but you can have a remote bottle opener, and be able to use the squeeze when you want. And I drive a turbo car, that dosn't mean I get in boost ALL the time either.
People use nitrous alot on the street too.

well, true, but its still apples and oranges. if i wanted my wrx to get out of its own way, it had to be making boost lol dead under 3K

blah i have no bias towards VTEC or turbo power. but is KW the same as HP??? btw, your comparison would work much better if you used the same dynomometer's to display the output. not all dyno's are the same

Of course your going to feel more of a pull thats what its for, to add a little extra horsepower to satisfy all the ricers. Personally I like the feeling from going from about 100 horsepower at 3000rpm, then when the boost comes on, skyrocketing to about 400 horsepower by 4000 rpm. [censored] VtaCk.

VTEC can lick my balls. Put it this way, if engines were porn, and it was an all four cylinder flick, the 4G63 would be the big burley guy with a giant wang, and the B18 VTAK would be one of those nasty butterface *** getting spooge shot all over her grill.

so what would that make the F20 (s2000/240), K20 (RSX/210), EJ20 (STI/300)???

The F20 and K20 are typical Honda torqueless wonders, so I'd have to say they are in the same catagory. The EJ20 dosn't even have variable valve timing, let alone "VTEC (read: Honda only)", so idk what there is even to compare, and like the 4G63, it makes power and is boosted.
The comparisson as far as the porn thing goes, the clapped out butterface *** are nasty, and get owned by big wangs, whether you like to look at them or not. They still own clapped out [censored]
