srt-4 and neons

i hate to say it but srt-4 are noens on crack. why crack. u try to catch a crackhead. can't be done. now i hate how all the srt-4 guys are saying it is not a noen. but i hate to bust ur bubbble but it is. all the same but a turbo and a lip kit. like i said neon on crack.

SRT-4s are the bomb. I really dig them. I don't think you can say that all an SRT-4 is is a Neon with a turbo, as the engine was engineered with turbocharging in mind. It's not like they just slapped a turbo on a 420A engine.

I really wanted one when they first came out, but I couldn't afford a car payment. Mabey in a year or so I'll find a nice used one Would make a good daily driver, and having my DSM as a weekend warrior would be an added bonus.

a srt 4 is basicly a high proformance neon but a lot differnt in mind. I really like the srt 4 and its powerful motor it has in it. at 240hp stock that is fast for the dodge guys like me.

yeah, catching crack heads is hard.  i tried to once, hunted that bastard for days on end.  they don't need sleep you know.  and if you can catch them while they getting their crack on, it's easy, but this one man, he was just hittin that pipe while still runnin form his other highs, kinda like stacking highs.  it sucked.  finally got him. took a bit of the ole rino tranq.  like 90000 cc, took a  lot to take that bugger down, but crickey we got im.

thats great. i can't belive u really caught one. one stole my cd player once i mean i just got it and he took it still in the box i chased him in a car and on foot had three poeple after him. note o used to run track. didn't catch him. that little bastard. but i really do like the srt-4's but here in toledo there are not neons. but hey are that is the thing. i understand the engine and all that. i think dodge did a great job but it is still a neon. and yeah i was going to get one two but to maney people have them now.

dude i never really caught a crack head.  have seen quite a few.  yeah, some guys with a car that is more performance than the base model will always say it's not the same, heard a guy say that once about a v6 mustang that he had.  true story, he tries to pass it off as a saleen, saying it's only a mustang in body.  i had heard it a few times before, and the engine never sounded like a saleen.  so i popped his hood while he was bsing, and pointed out to everyone present that saleen's don't have v6, they have v8.

SRT-4's are not normal Neons, it's like the difference between a Celica and a TRD tuned Celica, they are only the same on the outside, and look at the SRT-4, even that's different. SRT's all of them rule.

Dude listen if you go to dodge the srt-4 is called the srt-4 its not the neon srt-4.  and why are you talking [censored] in your econo box civic

I think you guys cars are nice but how many of you have a turboride like the srt4 they are so fast and sweet lookin I hope this forum is way better than srt4 forums they think they are so great over there . They are always pickin on the newbies and girls and ricers like us.Yeah I have a ricer sxt.They dislike show cars like us.I like all neons but over there they some give srt4s a bad bad name.Nice to be here.

Okay. Let me put this to rest really quick. ON your insurance card, it will say Neon. Hence, a Neon. Also, when they discontinue the Neon, the SRT-4 will go with it. Lastly, when you shave the badges, get a carbon fiber trunk and hood, roll the rear valence and change from dual to single exhaust, then smoke (insert supposedly fast car here), they ALWAYS say, "D@mn, that's a fast Neon".

As far as im concerned if its not an import.....dont buy it The american companies cant get in there heads that no one wants to buy a reincarnated gto that gets 5 miles to the gallon with a 6.0 liter engine. and dodge lost it when they made the neon. If you want a nice base car your not going to get the srt4 or the neon because who buys a car that only causts 12k brand new (neon). as far as the srt4 240hp its a turbo!!! it better at least make 240hp. I would probly explain it as trailer trash moving to a 1 bedroom apartment as apose to a crack heads cause srt4s are not that fast.

Number 2... they dont need anyone to give them a bad name...

well personally i hate them.. yes i suppose they are fast but why a neon? i mean comon they are ugly and look horrible as i expressed above... and yes they ARE a neon.. i just dislike how they look and i drove one and i wasnt to impressed.. but anywho, i agree with broke civic 100%

actually the american companies are catching up, and as much as i hate the new gto it does get pretty good mileage for a rear wheel drive v8.  not sure on the numbers, but it's in the twenties i believe.  also, yes, the srt-4 is a blah blah whatever, it is still a neon.  look at it for christs sake.  it's like the svt focus they came out with, or the saleen focus(oh yeah iw ant a focus with a nox bottle in it)  it is still technically a neon, just a high performance neon.  and to all the haters, move to japan if you can't handle it.

5 miles to the gallon? Are you serious? I didn't know that the GTO was carbureted. Do you care to explain to me how a fuel injected car such as the GTO gets 5 miles to the gallon?

Really? Well, tell me what you think is a good new FWD sport compact in the low $20,000 range. The reason why they don't have a 300hp factory SRT-4 is probably because they market those cars to kids your age- which means that your struggling as it is to handle 220hp to the wheels, let alone 300, your simple ass would be wrapped around a tree faster than you could say "go vtac!". The SRT-4 is the fastest in its class, turbo or not. How can you complain, Dodge is the only one who stepped up and offered the masses a fast, badass FWD turbo car. Honduh didn't, Toyota didn't. And Dodge was doing it in the eighties with the Omni turbo, but im sure you don't rememeber that, at that time, the best of you was running down your mom's leg.
