first car

i need some advice 4 buying my 1st car. i only have 3,500 and i want something that would be easy to mod. plz give me some advice.  

either a civic, or in my opinion, just say no to the civic.  here's a list.  5.0 fox body mustangs, cheap, easy to mod.  may not be an import, but don't pidgeon hole yourself, or you may never find a car that you actually really like.  mk3 supra's, can be found for that price and less dependging on where you live.  stay off ebay.  early nineties celica's, honda crx.  fun little car.  late eighties camaro's, again, like the mustang, easy to mod and cheap. late eighties trans am, good fast cars.  i'm gonna get flamed for all these domestics, but oh well.  check into those, also, need to know what you gonna do, drag, drift, or just be a pansy and look nice with a stock engine.  almost forgot, 240sx, and eighties 300zx.  the eighties 300's can be bought for cheap, with turbo.  especially if you live in central florida, they are cheap as hell here.  

the 240sx is a good car.  I'm about to buy one with 170k miles on a completely stock k24 for about $1000.  I'm gonna drive the engine a little more while I save some more money and then I'm gonna do some major work with it.  I found a shop in Georgia that does very nice engine swaps, www.tophatperformance.com.  When i get the money I'll take my 1991 S13 over there and drop in a RB25DET for $1300 plus labor.  So basically I'm gonna get a sexy S13 with a skyline engine for $3500 or less.  Sound like a good plan?

Back to vundeis post, obviously the civic is the most popular cheap car, but if you wanna be a little out of the ordinary, get a cheap car and find a good place for a nice, clean engine swap.  Just do what you want and have fun doing it!

I WOULD GET SUBARU LEGACY 2.5GT CHEAP AND GAS SAVER YOU CAN MOD TO HORSEPOWER AND IT 4X4 YOU CAN HAVE LOT FUN IN SNOW
