Well, guys, now that the Super Street staff has decided to get involved with it's message boards.....how about REAL cars in the mag? Don't you guys ever feel bored doing articles on the same *** cars over and over again? I mean, you can only see so many Silvias, drift crap, and "JDM" Civics before you want to vomit... I know I'm tired of seeing it. And I rarely see any decent non-riced out affordable cars in your magazine, like 1st gen DSMs, turbo Omnis, MKIII Supras, ect. Whats the deal?
Also, SCC's project SRT-4 is kicking your guys' asses. How about some better tech articles?

I completely agree with you. It will be awesome to see a car that has mostly "go" than "show" but of course the "show" will be there for visual purposes.
How is this for mostly "go" and some "show" eh?

Yes. I want to see cars that look stock (or clean with no stickers and crap) but go like hell. I'm digging the Supra.

All I see is the same poseresque crap time and time again. How can they call themselves Super Street if the cars they feature are never seen on the street? That sucks. C'mon guys, you can do better. On a side note, the popups here really suck bigtime.

hmmm. you're going to have to be more specific on what you consider "good" cars. because you're calling silvias, skylines, civics, g35s and everything else we run "crap". those cars are beyond good. it's not like we're putting ricer cars in the magazine. maybe you should restate your comment into "why doesn't super street put cars that i like in the magazine" rather than "Uh, how about some GOOD cars in Super Street?"

spiritturbo, what kind of cars would you like to see in Super Street?
Honestly, would you like us to feature cars that are on our Readers' Rides section? Universally speaking, if we did that, it wouldn't really attract a lot of people.
What we try to do is feature cars that are the absolute best, like the Top Secret Skyline and the Cyber Evolution. We also feature cars that are owned by people like you. We're trying to balance that out.
But I'd like to know specifically, what make/model of cars you want to see?

Alright, fair enough. Heres some examples: 1g DSMs, MKIII Supras, Clean, non rice FCs and FD RX7s, turbo MR2s, ect. More "affordable" cars.

Wow your seriously trying to tell the people that put together Super Street how to put the mag together. I think you need to take your a$$ back to were ever it came from and start mod' ing out trucks you piece of S**t. For the love of christ if I wanted to see 1g DSM's and non-riced FD Rx7's I would look down the road. The point im trying to get at is why make a mag about cars you see everyday? That defy's the purpose of the whole mag. Unless you want to start calling it Street magazine because it would lose its right to be called "Super". -Ryoku

I know for a fact we've featured a couple of clean turbo'd MR2s in the past year, and I know that's probably not enough.
But we're always looking for cars (especially the cars you talked about) so if you or anyone on this board know of a car that's worthy of a feature, send pictures and specs to sstreet@primedia.com.

I think Super Street puts great cars in the magazine. Yeah, we can't afford most of the cars in the magazine, but it's always good to dream. And I noticed they started doing a better job of putting more affordable cars in the mag. Last month they had the Cresidda, a 92 NSX (NSX's are becomming affordable these days), and this month they have Tarzan's daily driver (which, btw, is very affordable seeing how its mostly stock), Jonny started on his 91 240sx project (with how-to guide), and Chimpy started on his 93 Integra. If I'm correct, all of those cars are affordable. But you see, there is no car that is worthy of the magazine that hasn't had lots of money put into it. Even when they have Civic's and Integra's, those are cars that have lot of money put in to make them perfect. I think you guys should stop complaining, cause I'm still seeing other magazines that still feature civic's on a monthly basis, and I'm sure we don't want that in Super Street.

If you pulled your head (which is firmly lodged in place) out of your ass, you will understand what I said, which the editors have seemed to grasp also. There is nothing wrong with "Super" cars every once in a while, but it's not as inspiring to see a $100,000 budget built NSX as it is to see a guy who built a CRX that runs 10's on a shoe-string budget. Now, I know that Super Street has to please a certain demographic, such as, 13 year old kids as you, but they also understand that some of the guys in the "scene" are getting older, and want to see less Uncle Ben's, and more bad ass sport compacts that haul ass and look nice.
I'll give an example: Super Street should try to use D-Sport magazine as an example of a good sport compact magazine. They feature all kinds of cool cars, and they all look nice, and aren't particularly ricey. Now, if Super Street could have tech articles like them, feature cars like them, and mabey inject their own "humor" into the magazine, that would be a magazine worth $5 at the newsstands.
