IN My girlfreind's car the previous owner put a 7" LCD in the center of the Dash/Console (I think were the stock radio was??) problem is she is at collage so she's worried about someone breaking into it. We want to make it hidden in the dash either a flip up or slide up or something to hide it. Anyone have info or links to build something like this?? Also, I live in the north winter time can get to -20F will this bother the LCD? don't know don't know alot of people with TV's in their cars. (most are still at the big muffler and unpainted bodykit and tape graphics stage up here!!! (not my car... ))The first one is with the tv up the second is
flipped down. like I said quick drawing (sorry).
![]() I'm Going to try this on Lowrider's forum also

hmmm.. is the lcd attached above the dash or is it in the dash? From the picture it looks like the tv is above the dash and you want it to fold down into the dash.. Or is the tv in the dash and you want something to fold down and cover the tv?

right now it is in the dash I think its where the OEM radio use to be. I'm trying to hide it by making it fold up out of the dash. so when it is up you see the screen and folded down there is a guage pod on the back I am thinking about makeing it out of fiberglass. What I am trying to figure out is how to hinge it and how to make it open. I am thinking about trying to rework a hidden licence plate kit I like this option because it electronic, just flip a switch. I don't know if there would be a better or cheaper option.
