hi guys i recently started getting into imports, coming from a muscle car background, and i really have no experience with imports at all. my only tuning experience comes from a 96 pontiac sunfire se i just sold, and i felt like a complete idiot for trying to squeeze any big power out of the 2.2. i have been looking for a good car start building, other than a GM product, and i really don't want a honda or mitsubishi, because they are so common where im from. now, ive found two possible project cars at a reasonable price (under $800). one is a 1990 subaru svx turbo, but the turbo is locked up.  the other is a 1988 nissan 300zx NA with a broken sway bar.  i dont want to conform to the general idea of what a tuner can be, or what most guys around my area think it should be. i want something different that will turn heads. so, which car is better? i would much rather have an RX7 or a GT-R, but wouldn't we all?

i would go with the 1988 Nissan, It seems to me that there will be many more after market parts for that car then the SVX. Also Im almost positive the SVX on comes in an automatic, thats a big thumbs down.  Also a broken sway bar will be much cheaper to fix then a seized turbo.  And Yes, we would.
