HEY EVERYONE I WAS WONDERING IF I GOT A TURBO KIT PUT ON MY SCION TC WOULD IT STILL PASS INSPECTION I LIVE IN BAYTOWN TEXAS THE GUY WHERE I MIGHT BUY IT FROM TOLD ME TO CHECK OUT THE CARB certification requirements BUT THATS ONLY IN CALIFORNIA I THOUGHT ANY HELP WITH THIS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED

not sure which turbo kits your talking about, but if you want to pass inspection and keep you car 50 state legal without any worries, i would suggest the TRD supercharger. it doesnt void your warranty either. it makes decent power and theres room for improvement. cant beat a warranteed factory modification.
but back to your original question, if it will pass CA regulations, it can pass anywhere. CA emissions regulations are the tightest just short of cavity searches. if its 50 state legal it will say it right there, but if its 49 state legal, guess which state gets the short end of the stick? good old California.

im talking about the turbonetics turbo kit if i asked the place where i get my car inspected if it will pass with a turbo kit you think they will know??

Are aftermarket turbos illegal in Texas? I would think they are not. I think the inspection place will give you a straight answer.
