im stuck at this choice its going to be my first car sum one told me thta a jetta with a turbo would be a couldd first tuner but i also hurd that the 240sx is good to start off with two i like the four door on the jetta but which one would be fasterr if both had a turbo ???  

I barely understood what you wrote.  I think the Jetta would be faster though.

what... did you say?  i think you said you are deciding between a 240sx and a vr6 jetta to buy?  well you should know that the vr6 is n/a; the 1.8t is the turbo engine.  also in 2002 the new 24v version of the vr6 came out.  all 3 vw's are faster in stock form than a stock 240sx, though not by too much.

I don't know if you've thought about how much maintenance and dealer trips you're going to make in a VW, but if you want to drive and not worry about electrical BS, go with the 240. Both are tuneable, albeit, but you'll have less headaches with the 240 in the long run. I have a lot of friends that are anal about their quality driving and I see them more in the shop than on the road, my friends that is. Too much plastic in VWs, if you ask me...
