Yeah, man, there really isn't anything you can do with those, really. If your really desperate to have somthing a little nicer and faster, you can always clean it up a bit inside, put a nice stero, and a small shot of nitrous.

The Ford Taurus can be mad into a race car. The Australians run their version of the Super V8 Ford Taurus (RWD) version. If your looking for a good front wheel drive Ford to make into a race car. Look into a Ford Contour, Ford Mondao in Europe. If you can find a SVT Ford Contour you’ll be better off.  

i cant help but notice that you people really trash people a lot on here...ok..think about this for a second... a ford taruas is an decent long lasting CHEAP car.  Now im sorry but all of us diont have 30 grand for an evo so... anyways as to your question...i dont know much about tuning...i JUST got into it and from the sound of things so did you.   as far as i can tell with a little imagination and a WHOLE LOT of elbow grease you can turn a 1988 chevrolet celebrity into a race car...(not litterally but work with me) i have born witness to a mitsubishi mirage being turned into an evo 8   but...thats not the kicker...they changed the FWD into an AWD...........wtf...if that is possible then your taurus could be bad as with the right mods...and a LOT of fabricating...custom parts...blah blah blah..and alot of times you will find that there are cars from ford with the same size engine UP to that other wise youll be looking at a plown up peaice of crap/.....LATER...and i support you taurus's quest for awesomeness  

Yes you can build the Ford Taurus into a great tuner car. Look at what the Australians done with it. It's seemlier to the Australian Ford Falcon. And on the Mitsubishi Mirage, in Japan there is a 4WD Turbo Modal.  

A ford taurus is a good cop car, not so much a tuner car.  

If its a Taurus SHO it can be and fantastic tuner....i own one i would know.......it has a 3.2 and its standard ......the engine was a experimental engine and ford decided to make a sports car version of the Taurus.......it has stock 235Hp and it 0-60 in 6.3.....the only thing is if your gonna put money into it its alttile expenseive because only a handful of places offer things like cold air intakes and superchargers.......and the fact that theier rare as a *** only 1% of all Taurus's ever made were SHO........this car is the ultimite sleeper no one sees it comein
