My dad's giving me a pretty f'ed up car, while the wealthy ahole fixes up his pretty 2001 mustang convertible...

a crappy blue 1995 Ford Taurus =\

It is very reliable though. has get up n go, never stalls, never runs out of gas, no breakdowns, nothing. I have alot of faith in the car thats why I want it. I want to fix it up and make that thing look and run perfect...

Problem is...I haven't started my 8.25$.hr job yet. Don't start until Ocobter 9th but I always get paid overtime. with a 6.00/hr job I got paid 500.00$ for my first paycheck. So yeah Ill be able to do stuff with this car I just need some tips..

It needs work needless to say. Bumpers f'ked up (held up by duct tape), interiors pretty crappy, scratches everywhere, etc. I want to make it look beautiful and I need some tips where should I go, what should I get to start it off, etc.

i think first off, you should be grateful your dad is even giving you a car and learn some respect.  But that aside, if the exterior is trashed I would fix that up first.  You mentioned the bumper being f'ed up, super street magazine has lots of body kit ads even for you taurus.  Im actually looking at one right now in the current issue, Octobers issue.  Try andysautosport.com.  After you get the outside fixed work your way to the inside.

Hope this helps and keep us updated.

if you want your car to look good, i would definatly fix up the outside first, make it look presentable, then work on the inside, then last but not least worry about performance upgrades.

a 2001 mustang isnt a "nice car" by most standards, if he really was that wealthy he'd be driving a more expensive car probably.

Be thankful to him that he gave you a car, and dont rice it out. If it runs just drive it like that till the wheels fall off ( do basic maintenece on it though ), then in a year or two use the money from work, and some money from your dad, and some money from selling your old car, to buy a newer car.

i answered this in another hijacked thread.

no, there is no kit available. it would have to be a complete custom job.  if you have a question, please start a new topic.
